Dan Lee Mixed Media Artist
About the Artist:
Dan Lee is a former "Yooper" that moved to the Remus, Michigan area when he started teaching Art for the Chippewa Hills school system in 1973.
He and wife Cynthia raised two children in this mid-Michigan community and it is from here they pursued interests in wildlife, canoeing and just about any activity that has to do with the outdoors. They still keep their U.P. and Sturgeon River connections through family, friends and camping trips with a tent camper and two rambunctious dogs.
After thirty years of teaching art, Dan Lee retired from the school system and now focuses on hunting, art and wildlife. His art is an expression of his love and respect for nature. This interests relates mostly to the Sturgeon River area of his youth in Hiawatha National Forest.
